Linda Faye Young, was born on November 18th 1946 in Los Angeles, California to Charlie Henderson and Annar Selton Henderson. Linda was fortunate to have two sets of grandparents, paternal grandparents Jim and Adelyne Henderson and maternal grandparents Johnny and Evalyna Harris.
Linda has three older sisters, Annie Doris, Evalyne Mitchell, and Dorothy Mary Selton Osby. Linda accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age in Victory Baptist Church in Los Angeles. She attended Miramonte Elementary School, Gompers Junior High School and graduated from Centennial High School in Compton, California. Linda also attended college, got her Associate of Arts Degree, and worked as a medical Clerk at Martin Luther King Hospital for twenty-five years.
Linda gave birth to three children Nathan, Charise, and Shannon. Linda remarried to Claudell Young. She also accepted, fostered, and raised two other children with love and care. Years later there was a dissolution of their marriage.
Several years later Linda’s health began to decline. On October 13th, 2022 the bells tolled to bring Linda home, at the time she was called to rest. Her paternal grandparents, Jim and Adelyne Henderson and, her maternal grandparents, Johnny and Evalyna Harris, all proceeded her in death. Linda leaves behind to mourn her, her children, her grandchildren, one sister, other relatives and a host of relatives and friends.
There are no words to ease the pain at a time like this, yet we know you are in a better place. Though we say goodbye for now it is only until we meet again someday – when emptiness will turn to fulfillment despair to joy. And you will love again for eternity in that place where no one grows old. Death leaves a scar on the heart that no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no on can steal.
