On October 23, 1958, in South Bend, IN, David Warnsley Sr. and Mae Frances Perkins became the proud parents of Donald Warnsley Perkins and his twin brother Ronald Warnsley Perkins. Both parents preceded him in death, but their story began in the summer of 1968, when the family relocated to Los Angeles, CA. Los Angeles would become Donald’s home and final resting place.
Donald received Christ at an early age. He attended West Vernon Elementary School, 28th St Elementary School, John Adams Jr. High School and graduated from Jefferson High School. Donald was happy, friendly, loving, and dependable but he was also quiet, ambitious, and determined. He always had Millionaire Dreams and was very driven to live a life of luxury. He believed in looking the part too, if you knew him, you know he was ALWAYS dressed to impress.
In 1977, he and his high school sweetheart, Philistine (Philis) Ball, welcomed their first child, Kenesha. A few years later in 1981, they joined in holy matrimony and shortly after, their second child was born in 1983, whom they named Donyette. Two years later they completed their family with their last child Domonique.
As many know Donald and Philis were known for their lavish parties and lifestyle. For over fifteen years they were the life of the party and enjoyed their time together. Unfortunately, the party came to an end when, Donald and Philis separated. Donald still went on to be a great father to his girls. Over the course of his life, he was also a great son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was best known for his saying "dropping dimes on them". He would give you the shirt off his back, if you asked for it, no, if you needed it. Donald was a giving and loving man, anyone who knew him, can attest to that. Donald truly loved his girls and his family.
On June 9, 2022, Donald was called to be with the Lord. He leaves behind countless loved ones to treasure his precious memories; his three daughters; Kenesha, Donyette, and Domonique, three grandchildren; Nadjah, Christian, and Nevaeh, six siblings; Vicky, Ricky, Ronald, Maurice, Miranda (Joesph) and Antoinette, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. His life will live on forever through each and every one of us. We ALL will miss him dearly.
