Derris Mondel Hurth was born December 2, 1974, in Indiana to his beloved parents, the late Wisdom Byers, and Annie Ruth Hurth. He was the middle child of three children. In his early years of life, he was relocated to Los Angeles, California, also known as the city of angels. Indeed, he was an angel in his own way, and we loved him for it.
Derris M. Hurth attended Calf School; he furthered his education throughout his lifetime.
Derris M. Hurth accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior at a young age. He was a light to his family. He was affectional known to the community as "PUP" where he was loved and respected. Derris took pride in raising his kids and being the best father, he could be, and he loved his kids dearly.
On May 4, 2023, the Lord's assignment for eternity Derris Mondel Hurth would be completed on this earth, he is now with his savior in heaven now. He preceded in death by his father Wisdom Byers, his grandparents Mrs. Barbara Byers, Rev. Sasper Hurth, Mrs. Lena Hurth Pebbles, sister Ebony Hurth, Munt Vera Redus and Annie Mae Swoopes.
He is survived by his loving mother Annie Ruth Hurth, older brother Johnathan Hurth, his wife Kychelle Hurth. three daughters Lena Hurth, Keionna Yarbrough and Leanna Canty, two sons; Derris Hurth Jr. and Keion Tucker, five nieces; Shawnquise Hall, Sheddraye Butts, Shalena, Jasmine Tremble and Shardae Smith. One nephew Johnathan Hurth Jr., two aunts; Martha Jones and Alma Birdsong of Decatur, Alabama, one uncle Alonzo Hurth, one great aunt Darelene Wynn, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
