Alma Lee Thornton was born on December 1, 1952 to Lee Jones and Alice Jones in Bakersfield, CA. She was the second born of ten children.
Her family moved to Los Angeles, California in 1963. She attended Flournoy Elementary, Markham Junior High and Jordan High School.
Alma loved her family. Her kids, grandkids and great grandkids was her world. They were ALWAYS the main thing she spoke about. She would do anything for them. If they needed or wanted, she made sure they received it. If you met her, you couldn't help but love her.
On November 7, 2022, our Warrior lost her fight and gained her wings. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-seven years Jerry, her parents Lee and Alice, her first born daughter Carolyn, three brothers Artist, Lee and Glen Sr., and a great granddaughter Bailey.
She leaves to mourn her memory, three children Kesha, Vette, and Edward, two sisters Yvonne and Carolyn, four brothers Maurice, Freddie, Lonnie and Clifford, two nephews which she called her son's Daniel Sr and Daniel Jr., a niece whom she considered a daughter her daughter Cynthia, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
